Heritage Christian Academy brought home second place at the Lancaster, TN Volley Jam Saturday in Smyna, TN. The Lady Warriors won their opener over Madison Academy (25-13, 25-12) before falling to Riverside Academy (25-20, 25-12) in the second round.
On Saturday, HCA beat Lancaster 25-6, 25-13), Christian Community (21-25, 25-22 15-13), and Fayetteville (25-13, 25-20).
In the championship match, HCA again fell to Riverside Academy (25-11, 25-17).
“I was pleased with our first performances of the year,” said Head Coach Eldridge Rogers. “We made mistakes, but who doesn’t early on. We were competitive, focused and left it all on the court. I was pleased with our effort, attitude and hustle.”
HCA will open their 2017 season at home Tuesday against Community Christian Academy and will return to Smyrna next weekend to play in a tournament hosted by Lancaster.
