Holmes, Buchanan, Ethridge Earn Medalist at Arrowhead

Trigg County's Caleb Federspiel shot a career-low score of 40 Thursday at Arrowhead Golf Course.

Christian County’s Carson Holmes and John Buchanan each shot 1-under par to share medalist honors in a triangular match with Trigg County and Fort Campbell Thursday at Arrowhead Golf Course.

Despite fielding a team for the first time this year, the Colonels finished 12 shots behind Trigg County in second place.

Caleb Federspiel led the Wildcats with a season-low 40. Hunter Reynolds shot a 43, followed by Grayson Thomas (44), and Darrin Goodwin (45).

Huston George shot a 55 for Christian County, and Micah Smith added a 61 as the Colonels fielded a full team for the first time this year.

Fort Campbell was led by Dutch Arnold’s 59, while Gavin Sylvia shot a 60.

For the ladies, Trigg County’s Alex Ethridge took medalist honors with a 42. Jenna Humphries led Christian County with a 49, while Jennalyn Kelly added a 52, Hannah Sumner a 53, and Bridgit Owens a 57.

Fort Campbell was led by Emma Coyer’s 69.

Several teams will be playing in the Paducah Tilghman Invitational at Paxton Park Saturday.
