Sophomore Bryson Penn scored five goals and assisted on another as Lyon County opened their soccer season with an 8-7 shootout win at Union County. Max Wadlington added two goals, and Rudy Daniel tallied a goal. Trace Adams assisted on three goals, while Frank Coronado and Todd Huddleston also had an assist.
The game was back and forth with neither team able to pull away from the other. The victory was Lyon County’s third straight over the Braves.
Lyon County returns to action Friday at home against St. Mary.
