Heritage Christian Academy struggled to score and struggled with injuries in a pair of losses Saturday at the Evansville Bosse Invitational Soccer Tournament. The Warriors lost to Mount Vernon, IN 4-0 after a weather delay forced the start time to be pushed back. In the nightcap, HCA lost to North Knox 7-1.
“We simply ran out of gas with all of our injured players,” Head Coach Tony Henson said. “I’m looking forward to getting some of our players back. The young kids battled, but we still have a lot of growing up to do.”
Thomas West, who scored four goals in Friday’s tie with Gibson Southern, scored the lone Warrior goal against North Knox.
Heritage Christian Academy (0-3-1) returns to action Thursday at home against North Hardin.
