Fort Campbell Takes Fifth at Madisonville Invitational

Fort Campbell’s pack was working Saturday as they placed four runners within 14 places of each other and finished fifth at the Madisonville Invitational Saturday.

Sophomore Rafael Cerritos was the top Falcon finisher in 23rd place (19:24) over the 3.1-mile course. Andrew Sincere (31st) and Gabe Gamez (32nd) were 30 seconds behind Cerritos, and Damian Bowe was 37th. Sophomores Joshua Ricketts (53rd), Alec Vaughn (54th), and William DeShanzo (62nd) rounded out the top seven finishers for Fort Campbell.

For the ladies, freshman Yasmin Espinoza was the first Lady Falcon to cross in 22nd place (24:16). Noah Ellison was 37th, followed by Alexandra Zacherl (53rd), Elizabeth Ryan (54th), Hannah Salas (56th), and Madelynn Vasquez (75th). Fort Campbell finished sixth as a team.

Jacob Gomez was the lone runner in the middle school boys’ race, finishing 45th.

In the girls’ race, Joslynn Espinoza was 27th, and Senai Mackay was 68th.
