Hopkinsville saw two runners finish in the top 12 Saturday at the Madisonville Invitational Cross Country Meet.
Senior Meghan Easton finished sixth, running the 3.1-mile course in 21:58, which was 46 seconds behind the winner Brianna Carl of Madisonville. Allison Wood finished 27th, followed by Jakayla McSwain (44th), and freshman LaTajah Summers-Young. Hopkinsville did not field the full five runners to receive a team score.
For the guys, freshman Chase Atkins finished 12th in a time of 18:21. Zlatko Skuljan was 70th, Max DuBois was 71st, Tyler Turner was 87th, and eighth grader Austen Turner was 109th. Hopkinsville finished 12th as a team.
