Trigg County’s Alyssa Richardson recorded her third hat trick of the season and 14th goal in five games as the Lady Wildcats picked up an 8-2 win at Lyon County Thursday. After falling behind on a first half goal by Lyon County, the Lady Wildcats reeled off the next eight goals, five in the first half and three more in the second half.
Richardson scored two goals in the first half and one more in the second as she only took three shots on goal. Madisen Ireland had two goals and two assists, while Brittney Kelly, Emily Noffsinger, and Libby Redd also had goals. Kelly and Tiffany Shafer each had assists.
Trigg County’s defense held their fourth straight opponent to two goals or less during their four-game winning streak.
Nicole Spindler had Lyon County’s second goal as the Lady Lyons equaled their high goal output of the season.
Trigg County (4-3) travels to Todd County Central Tuesday, while Lyon County (1-6) plays at Ballard Memorial next Thursday.
