Hopkinsville runners bagged a pair of top 20 finishes Saturday at the Fenton Dawson Invitational Cross Country Meet at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
Senior Meghan Easton finished 12th, covering the 3.1-mile course in a time of 20:48. Fellow senior Cherish Higgs finished in 26th place in 21:38, followed by Allison Wood (38th), Jakayla McSwain (71st), Ashleigh Atkins (108th), and Emma Lile (113th). As a team, Hopkinsville finished sixth out of ten 10 teams in the event.
In the boys’ race, freshman Chase Atkins finished 17th in a time of 17:02. Max Dubois finished in 118th place for Hoptown, while Tyler Turner was 181st, and Austen Turner was 205th. Hopkinsville did not field the five runners necessary to have a team score.
