Heritage Christian Academy had runners compete in three divisions of the Somerset Christian Cougar Prowl Saturday.
Freshman Luke Bottoms was the top HCA runner in the boys’ varsity race with a 22nd place finish in a time of 25:02. David Rambo finished 39th, and Will Nichols was 40th.
Liberty Hartsell finished 11th in the girls’ middle school race in a time of 21:16 over the 3,000 meter course.
In the girls’ elementary race, AnneLiese Hartsell finished ninth in a time of 9:39 over 2,000 meters, followed by Mackenzie McCarty (23rd), Kyla Cherry (25th), and Grace Crawford (33rd). As a team, Heritage Christian finished fifth.
In the boys’ elementary race, Caden Travis was the first HCA runner across in a time of 9:10, good for 18th place. He was followed across the line by John Spurling (20th), Lucas Brockwell (28th), Jerret Delestowscz (32nd), Jerry Spurling (36th), Peyton Porupski (37th), and Alex Brumfield (39th).
Heritage Christian finished sixth as a team.
