Christian County was shut out for the sixth time Wednesday in a 2-0 loss to Owensboro at the Stadium of Champions. Despite the loss, the Lady Colonel defense continues to show signs of improvement from last year.

Christian County was shut out 11 times last year on their way to a 3-15-2 record, while scoring just over a goal a game and giving up 5.2 per contest.

The defense has improved under first year head coach Shannon East. The Lady Colonels are allowing just 3.4 goals per contest and have allowed three or fewer goals in five of their eight games played. However, Christian County has scored just two goals in eight games this season.

Christian County (1-7) will try and snap a six-game losing streak Monday when they travel to Crittenden County (2-4).
