Heritage Christian Academy started slow but came on strong in claiming a five-set win over Community Christian School of White House, TN Thursday at Warrior Gym. HCA won the first set 25-23, scoring the final three points to pick up the win. Rachel West had four kills in the set, while Skyler Crisp had three aces, and Allie Maternowski had nine assists.
Community Christian used a 6-0 run in the second set to take control and win 25-22. Maternowski had four kills and an assist in the set for HCA.
The Lady Warriors won the third set 25-19 as sophomore Allie Schluckebeir had four kills, and Anna Waldron added three.
HCA dropped the fourth set 25-21, but rallied to win the fifth set 15-8 and win the match.
Heritage Christian improved to 12-5 with the win and will travel to South Haven, TN Tuesday.
