Just two days after dropping a four-set district match to Livingston Central, Trigg County finds themselves in a deeper district hole after losing to Crittenden County in four sets. The Lady Rockets beat Trigg 25-23, 22-25, 25-14, 25-21 Thursday at Wildcat Gym.
Crittenden County, ranked 12th in the latest region volleyball rankings by YourSportsEdge.com, has won two of three and improved to 3-6 with the win.
Trigg County was ranked two spots ahead of Crittenden in tenth and fell to 3-4 overall and 0-2 in the district. The loss also means Trigg County will have to win out and get some help if they are to claim the top seed in the district tournament and avoid playing two games in one night.
The Lady Wildcats host University Heights Monday at Wildcat Gym.
