Coming off disappointing losses to Livingston Central and Crittenden County, the Trigg County Lady Wildcats rebounded in a big way Monday night, upsetting University Heights in five sets at Wildcat Gym. UHA had not played since August 25th, and the long layoff appeared to have had some effect on the Lady Blazers.

Trigg County set the tone in the opening set, battling the Lady Blazers to the end, and then taking the set 25-22. The Lady Blazers responded in the second set, taking it at the wire 25-23. Behind strong serving and offensive attacking from Lily Hendricks, UHA appeared to have the match in hand after rolling through the 3rd set 25-6.

But, the Trigg County Lady Wildcats decided not to go quietly, and with Chloe Williamson serving, and strong net play from Nyree Wilson, Trigg opened the fourth set 9-0, and then held on to win it 25-21.

In the deciding set, Trigg County took the lead early and did not look back, winning the deciding set by a score of 15-8.

With the win Trigg County improved to 4-4 on the season, while UHA fell to 3-3.
