The Todd County Central girls’ soccer team moved to 2-0 in 13th District play, beating Franklin-Simpson 1-0 on the road Tuesday night. The Lady Rebels upped their season record to 6-1-1, their best start since winning 6 of their first 8 matches in 2015.
Todd County junior Maddye Drummond scored the lone goal, her team-leading 9th of the season, off an assist from junior Amy Brumfield. The Lady Rebels’ defense recorded their 4th shutout of the season, one more than they posted all of last season.
Todd County travels to post on Thursday to face a Fort Campbell Lady Falcons team (3-6) coming off their first win over the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers since 2001.
