Caldwell County Rolls To Two Wins At All A State Tourney

The Caldwell County Lady Tigers quest for an All A state volleyball championship got off to a roaring start Friday night with two wins in pool play. The Lady Tigers will play their final match in pool play Saturday morning against Bardstown.

In their opening match Friday night, Caldwell County rolled over Whitesville Trinity by the scores of 25-11 and 26-24. The Lady Tigers then took on Harlan, and again won in straight sets 25-12 and 25-6.

Lady Tiger head coach Daniel Corner told YourSportsEdge that his team came off the bus swinging and owned the tempo. Caldwell Couny had great production from Carlie Peek, who was All Tournament Team last year at the All A Classic. Senior Libero Taylor Whalen did a great job on serve receive and Cortner adds that she really put their offense in great shape.

If the Lady Tigers finish 1st or 2nd in their pool, they will advance on to the championship bracket Saturday afternoon.
