
Tayshaun Barker ran for 101 yards and two touchdowns against Russellville.

Russellville limited Trigg County to 72 second half yards and outscored the Wildcats 11-0 to pick up a 23-14 win at Perdue Field Friday. The win was Russellville’s sixth straight against Trigg County, and the Panthers now lead the all-time series 42-20-1.
Trigg County led 14-12 at halftime on touchdown runs of two and six yards by Tayshaun Barker. The Wildcat sophomore finished the game with 101 yards on eight carries. Trigg County carried the football 49 times in the contest but managed just 187 yards or 3.8 yards a carry.
Trigg appeared to be driving for an insurance score in the third quarter, but their drive stalled at the Panther 8-yard line. On the first play after taking over possession, Javeron Robey took a pitch and went 92 yards for a touchdown. Jacob Naylor’s conversion run gave the Panthers a 20-14 lead with 3:52 left in the third quarter. Robey finished with 96 yards on four carries as the Panthers ran for 262 yards in the contest.
Wildcat quarterback Cam Jordan was limited in the second half after a first half ankle injury. He finished with 51 yards on 14 carries and completed 8-of-20 passes for 96 yards. Jordan was picked off for the first time this season in the second quarter, with Xavier Evans returning the pick 52 yards for a touchdown that put the Falcons ahead 14-12.
Trigg County (3-2) will welcome in Fort Campbell to Perdue Field next week as district games begin across the Commonwealth.
