After consecutive third place finishes, University Heights Academy junior Muki Kunnmann won her first race of the year at the St. Mary Invitational Saturday in Paducah.
Kunnmann covered the 3.1-mile course in 21:09, which was 32 seconds ahead of second place Carley Dowdy of Graves County. Teammate Piper Hancock was 24th in a time of 24:55.
Tomas Duncan brought home another top ten finish in the boys’ varsity race, coming in fourth in a time of 17:54.
In the middle school boys’ race, Chase Hendricks notched another personal best time of 17:46 and finished 15. Trey Wyatt also had a personal best time of 21:25 over 4,000 meters.
