Trigg County’s bid to move up in the YourSportsEdge.com region volleyball rankings took a hit Monday as the Lady Wildcats lost to ninth ranked Hopkins Central in straight sets. The 11th ranked Lady Wildcats fell 25-19, 25-12, 25-20. For Trigg County, it was their fourth loss in their last six matches.
Hopkins County Central (8-5) has won four straight matches heading into Tuesday’s district contact at second ranked Caldwell County.
Trigg County (5-6) heads to sixth ranked Livingston Central Tuesday in a contest the Lady Wildcats must win to keep their hopes for a top district seed alive.
