Christian County won the first set 25-21. Hoptown won the next two sets 25-11 and 25-22 and appeared to have the match in hand. But the Lady Colonels rallied to win the final two sets 25-21 and 15-9.

Ariyonna Johnson was big at the net for the Lady Colonels with a team-high 12 kills, three blocks, and served a pair of aces. Alexis Poor had 27 assists and three kills, and Kathryn Buchanan had five kills. Macy Baker had a strong night with eight kills and six aces with a 91-percent service rate.

Karalyn Beymer led Hopkinsville with 11 kills, while London Foster had five kills and eight aces. Chella Bell and Zakyra Stallworth each had six kills.

Hopkinsville (6-6) saw their four-game winning streak come to an end and dropped to 4-1 in district play. The Lady Tigers will play at Trigg County Thursday.

Christian County (7-14) evened their district mark at 2-2. They host Fort Campbell and University Heights in a pair of matches next week.
