UHA girls’ soccer coach Michael Parker wondered how his team would bounce back after a crushing loss to the Murray in the All-A Classic subsection game earlier in the week. The Lady Blazers had trouble solving a Henderson County defense that dropped four defenders back in a 3-0 loss in Henderson Thursday – a match featuring the two top ranked teams in the region.

The Lady Blazers were shut out for only the second time in their past 38 games dating back to 2015, with both of those coming at the hands of Henderson County.

Maddie Griggs, Cecila Palummo, and Marissa Sauer scored the three goals for Henderson County, who is now 8-0-1 against UHA in their last nine meetings. The Lady Colonels are now 11-3 overall and 7-0 against region teams.

UHA (8-3) will play at Fort Campbell Tuesday.
