Caldwell County Lady Tigers Split Two Matches Saturday

The Caldwell County Lady Tigers split a pair of volleyball matches Saturday in Princeton. Caldwell County opened the day with a straight set win over Christian Fellowship. The Lady Tigers won the first set 25-14. CFS gave the Lady Tigers more of a battle in the second set before falling 25-22. Caldwell County completed the sweep by winning the 3rd set 25-19.

In their second match of the day, Caldwell County fell to 3rd Region power Apollo 3 sets to 1. The Lady Eagles came out strong winning the first set 25-18. Caldwell County battled back in the second set, but lost 25-23. The Lady Tigers ended up winning the 3rd set 25-22, but Apollo closed out the match winning the 4th set 25-21.

It was Caldwell County’s second loss of the season to Apollo. The first came in the Queens of the Court tournament at Central Hardin. With the split on the day, Caldwell County now stands at 14-6 on the season, and gets ready to host Massac County Tuesday evening at the CAB.
