A 5 game unbeaten run came to an end for the University Heights boys’ soccer team Monday night.  The Blazers lost 7-1 on the road to 6-6-1 Madisonville-North Hopkins.

Blazer senior midfielder Taylor Daniel opened the scoring when he got an unassisted goal 20 minutes in to give UHA a 1-0 lead.  However, things would unravel for the Blazers as they gave up an own goal and the Maroons were awarded 2 penalty kicks.  Over the course of the match the Blazers lost 3 starters, two were benched for yellow cards and one suffered a head injury.  As a result, UHA finished the match with only 10 players.

The Blazers (6-5-2), head to Morganfield on Tuesday to face the Union County Braves (1-10).
