The one thing we know about the boys 5th District soccer tournament is that both Trigg County and Lyon County will be advancing on to the 2nd Region tournament. With Crittenden County and Livingston County not playing boys soccer, Trigg County and Lyon County are the only teams in the district tournament.
The only thing really to be decided is which team will go into the regional as the district winner and which team goes in as the runnerup.
The two teams met twice during the regular season, with the Wildcats won both. Trigg County won 4-2 on August 29th in Eddyville. The Wildcats then completed the regular season sweep with a 3-2 win September 18th at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.
Trigg County and Lyon County will square off Monday evening at 6pm at the Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville.
