The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers are headed to the 8th District volleyball championship game after handling Fort Campbell in straight sets Tuesday night in a semifinal matchup. The top seeded Lady Tigers got on top of the Lady Falcons out of the gate and never looked back.

Hopkinsville easily won the first set 25-15. Fort Campbell pushed the Lady Tigers early in the second set before falling 25-15. Hopkinsville then put the match away, winning the third set 25-6.

The Lady Tigers got a big night from Zakyra Stallworth, who had 11 kills on the match. Stallworth’s size at the net caused problems for the Lady Falcons all evening. Hopkinsville also had big nights from Karalyn Beymer, with six kills, and Hope Pace with 9.

Chandler Burgoyne provided a solid effort for Fort Campbell, who saw their season end at 4-23.

Hopkinsville will now move on to take on University Heights who upended Christian County in the other semifinal match.
