
Region favorites Caldwell County and Henderson County have drawn into opposite brackets of the Second Region Volleyball Tournament that begins Monday at Trigg County.
Henderson County (22-14), who has won four of the last five region titles, will play Eighth District runner-up University Heights Academy (14-19) at 7pm Monday. The first match features Fifth District champ and host Trigg County (17-20) and Madisonville (24-10) at 5:30pm. Trigg County will be looking to win their first region tourney match in program history.
On Tuesday, Eighth District champion Hopkinsville (20-17) will play Livingston Central (19-11) at 5:30pm. The 7pm nightcap features Seventh District champ Caldwell County (25-9) facing off against Webster County (15-20).
Caldwell County will be looking to win their first volleyball region title since winning three straight from 2009-11.
The semifinals will be played Wednesday at 5:30 and 7pm with the championship match slated for Thursday at 7pm.
Admission is $7 for both adults and students.
