It wasn’t a thing of beauty, but it was a win never the less. Kicker Ryan Succop’s 47-yard field goal with 1:55 remaining in overtime gave the Titans a 12-9 win over the Cleveland Browns, and improved the team to 4-3 headed into the bye week. The Titans are tied atop the AFC South with the Jaguars, while the Browns dropped to 0-7, having lost four games of their seven games by three points.
Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 21-of-34 passes for 203 yards in the contest. But the Titans continued to struggle in the red zone, and on third down, in this one. It forced the team to rely on Succop for four field goals. Titans safety Kevin Byard stepped up big with three interceptions.
The Titans have a bye next weekend before returning to action on November 5 against the Ravens at Nissan Stadium.
