Caldwell County senior Carlie Peek has been named the Second Region Volleyball Player of the Year which was announced Tuesday by the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association. The voting was conducted by members of the KVCA. Peek will be recognized at the state tournament in Louisville November 4.
It marks the second straight year that Caldwell County has had the region player of the year. Katie VanHooser earned the honor last year.
Webster County’s Rachel Heath, who guided Webster County to a 15-20 record and an appearance in the region tournament, was voted region coach of the year.
