Diion Leavell is ranked second in the statewide preseason poll for the 182-pound weight class
Christian County is ranked 12th in the KentuckyWrestling.com preseason rankings, with 10 Colonels among those ranked in their respective classes.
Diion Leavell was the highest ranked Colonel, coming in second in the 182-pound class. Leavell moves up from the 170-pound class where he finished third last year.
Niko Bussell, who was eighth in the 182-pound class last year, is ranked sixth in the 195-pound class in the preseason.
Other Colonels ranked in the preseason were Gage Fowler, ranked eighth in the 106-pound class; Austin Gibson, ranked 21st in the 120-poiund class; Austin Grant-Hall 16th at 126; Jakerion Merritt 12th at 132; Ishmael Griffie 10th at 138; Cameron Coleman 21st at 160; Antonio Abren 13th at 170; and Markus Green 18th at 220.
The Colonels are one of three Region I schools ranked in the statewide top 30. Defending state champion Union County is ranked number one, and Calloway County is number 15.
Christian County is also ranked eighth in the preseason dual rankings poll.
