The postseason honors continue to roll in for Hopkinsville soccer senior Ethan Noel, who has now gained national recognition for his play on the field.
Noel was named to the 2017 NSCAA High School All-Great Lakes National Region Team Monday and was also named the NSCAA High School All-America representative for Kentucky. It’s the first time a player from the Second Region has received either national award. Noel joins Ryle’s Andrew Roe as the only players from Kentucky named to the All-Great Lakes National Region Team.
Noel finished his senior season with 25 goals and 47 assists, giving him both the state single season and career assist record in Kentucky. He was named First Team All-Region and All-Region Tournament team in addition to being named the region player of the year and First Team All-State. He also received the KHSAA Silver Boot Award and the KHSAA Offensive Player of the Year.
Noel finished his career with 66 goals and 120 assists and was part of four Hopkinsville teams that won 83 games and three region titles.
