A member of the 2nd Region volleyball runner-up squad has announced her collegiate volleyball intentions. Caldwell County senior Taylor Whalen announced on twitter Monday afternoon that she had committed to play college volleyball at Midway University.
Whalen was named to the 2017 All Second Region Volleyball first team, and was an integral part of the Lady Tigers run to the 2nd Region All A championship, and the championship game of the 2nd Region Volleyall tournament, where they lost to Henderson County.
Midway University, is an NAIA Division II school, located in Midway, Kentucky, with an enrollment of just over 1,200 students. The Eagles play in the River States Conference, which includes two other Kentucky schools, Asbury and Brescia.
Midway finished the 2017 season at 7-27 under first year head coach Jonea Rima.
