Christian County couldn’t hold a late lead in their 80-78 loss to Bullitt East Friday. It was the first loss for the Lady Colonels in five games to start the season.
Lady Colonel Coach Kiki Radford said they were hurt by some “crucial turnovers late” that led to several Bullitt East points.
Trinitee Jackson had a big night for Christian County, scoring 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Laderia Gold added 23 points, and Aaliyah Hampton scored 14.
Bullitt East, who has advanced to the championship game of the Sixth Region two of the past three seasons, improved to 4-1.
Christian County (4-1) will host McCracken County (3-1) Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at Lyle Dunbar Gymnasium.
