
It was a tough Saturday afternoon on the road for the UHA Lady Blazers. UHA never got their offense on track and fell to Calloway County 55-19. The loss ended a two game winning streak for the Lady Blazers.
The Lady Lakers got out to an 18-7 lead after the first quarter. Calloway County was able to extend the lead in the second quarter, outscoring UHA 12-6, to push the lead to 30-13 at the half.
Things went from bad to worse for the Lady Blazers during the third quarter, as UHA was held without a point. Calloway County was able to score 19 of their own to push the lead on out to 49-13 going into the 4th quarter. Both teams could only muster 6 points each in the final period, with the Lady Lakers holding on for the final 55-19 score.
UHA was led by Lilly Hendricks, Anshanique Leavell, and Anna Fitzpatrick, with 4 points each. Calloway County was led by McKenna Friedrich with 17 points.
The Lady Blazers fall to 2-2 on the season and get ready for a big 8th District match against Hopkinsville on Tuesday.
