PHOTOS – Lady Falcons Fall to South Haven

It may not show on the scoreboard, but Fort Campbell’s struggling girls’ basketball program is showing signs of improvement. It’s about the small steps for a program that starts two eighth graders for first-year coach Mindy Hargrove.

The Lady Falcons dropped a 60-15 contest Monday to South Haven of Springfield, Tennessee. After falling behind 12-0 to start the game, the Lady Falcons continued to battle and stayed with the Lady Patriots throughout the remainder of the second half. The shots didn’t fall in the second half as they were outscored 21-4.

Eighth grader Jordan Wilson scored 12 points to lead the Lady Falcons. Trinity Mincey scored two points, and Nas’Rya Brown scored a point.

Annabeth Hatcher scored 21 points to lead South Haven.

Fort Campbell (0-7) will shoot for their first win Saturday when they host Trigg County.
