It has been a tough 24-hour stretch for the Todd County Central Lady Rebels. Less than 24-hours after losing a road matchup at Logan County, the Lady Rebels lost at Bowling Green Saturday afternoon 73-51.
Bowling Green took control of the game early, jumping out to a 19-9 lead after the first quarter. Senior guard Keely Morrow helped get the Lady Purples off to a hot start, scoring 10 of her game high 32 points in the first quarter.
Todd County senior Alexis O’Daniel attempted to get the Lady Rebels back into the game in the second quarter. O’Daniel connected on three 3-point shots, and scored 11 of her 16 points in the quarter, as the Lady Rebels trimmed the Bowling Green lead to 33-24 at the half.
Bowling Green then put the game away in the 3rd quarter, outscoring Todd County Central 24-11 to take a 57-35 lead. Keely Morrow heated up again, scoring 15 points in the quarter. The two teams then played even down the stretch, with each scoring 16 points in the 4th quarter.
The Lady Rebels were led by Alexis O’Daniel with 16 points. Amy Brumfield added 11.
Todd County Central drops to 2-6 on the season, while Bowling Green improves to 5-2.
