Heritage Christian Academy went on the road Saturday, and the road hit back as the ninth ranked Warriors lost to unranked Galilean Christian Academy 61-46.
The Warriors fell behind 19-8 after one quarter, but scored 22 points in the second frame to trail 34-30 at halftime. Gavin Fowler knocked down a trio of 3-pointers for all nine of his points in the quarter, while Dalton Folz went 8-for-8 at the free throw line. For the game, Folz hit 14-of-17 at the line and finished with a team-high 24 points.
Galilean was able to limit HCA to eight points in each of the third and fourth quarters, while Tristan Royalty scored eight of his 11 points for Galilean in the fourth quarter.
Austin Crawford added six points for HCA, who dropped to 7-5 on the season and 0-3 in KCAA play. The Warriors are off until after the Christmas break when they host Somerset Christian on Jan. 5.
