Christian County’s Eighth District game with Fort Campbell went about the way you would expect. The top-ranked team in the Second Region handed the winless Lady Falcons a 75-11 loss at Lyle Dunbar Gymnasium.
The Lady Colonels got out to a 22-3 lead after one quarter and scored the first 10 points of the second quarter to extend the advantage to 40-11 at halftime.
Fort Campbell didn’t score in the third quarter as Christian County built a 60-11 lead and failed to score in the fourth quarter as well.
Lady Colonel Coach Kiki Radford used her bench extensively in the game with all 12 players in uniform reaching the scoring column.
Serenity Shemwell was the lone player in the game to reach double figures with 12 points. Lamontavia Forte added nine points, and Lydashe Bell, Kinara Phillips, and Treliyah Thomas each scored eight points.
Jordan Wilson had nine of Fort Campbell’s 11 points, with Trinity Mincy adding the other two.
Fort Campbell (0-11) will host University Heights Academy Friday, while Christian County (13-4) will see UHA Tuesday.
