HCA Unable to Overcome Slow Start at Jo Byrns

Heritage Christian Academy found the buckets hard to come by as they fell at Jo Byrns 67-49 Tuesday in Cedar Hill, Tennessee.

HCA scored six points in each of the first two quarters and trailed 30-12 at halftime. HCA began to show life in the third quarter, but Jo Byrns’ Collin Richards scored 11 of his game-high 24 points in the frame as the Red Devils (4-7) kept the Warriors at bay.

Dalton Folz led HCA with 20 points. Josh Jones joined him in double figures with 11 points, and Kam Cunningham added five points. Gavin Fowler, HCA’s leading scorer, was held to four points.

HCA (8-7) returns to the hardwood Thursday at Glasgow Christian in a KCAA contest.
