Crawford Named Pitching Coach at ULM

Former Christian County High School and Hoptown Hoppers coach Grayson Crawford has been named the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Louisiana-Monroe after spending the last 2 ½ years at Murray State.

Crawford, who served as pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Murray State the past two seasons, officially joined the ULM staff on Jan. 2, according to a press release from the school.

As pitching coach for the Racers in 2017, he helped craft a staff that set a single-season school record for strikeouts (491) and saves (10).

Crawford was 47-35 in two seasons as Christian County High head coach in 2013-14, guiding the Colonels to one district title and two trips to the Second Region title game.

He also served as the inaugural coach of the Hoptown Hoppers from 2012-14, winning the league title in 2012 and finishing as runner-up in both 2013 and 2014.

Crawford and his wife Lee, married in 2012, have two children: Ava Gray and Evan.
