Emma Talley finished tied for 60th place in her first LPGA Tour event as a pro Sunday at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic. The event was shortened to 54 holes because of high winds Friday.
The Princeton golfer tallied an even-par 73 in the final round for a three-day score of 224 (+5). She shot a 1-over in Thursday’s first round and struggled in the wind Saturday to shoot a 4-over 77.
Winds gusted as high as 45 mph Thursday and Friday and dropped to 15 mph for Sunday’s final round.
Talley receives a $3,323 paycheck for her first LPGA event as a pro. She had played in a couple of LPGA events as an amateur prior to this year.
Brittany Lincicome repeated as champion of the tournament by shooting a 12-under, including a 7-under 66 in the final round.
The LPGA’s next stop is the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open Feb. 15-18.
