Trigg Arrowcats Win Region I NASP Title

Trigg County had the top three archers at the Region I NASP Tournament Saturday with the high school Arrowcats bringing home another region title.

Freshman Audrey Smith shot a 293 to lead the high school team, while her sister Kaylin Smith shot a 292 to finish second.

Chase Oglesby shot a 283 to finish sixth among high school males, followed by Justin Kelly (seventh – 283), Daniel Martin (eighth – 282), and Christopher Mudd (ninth – 281).

Macy Mitchell finished seventh among females with a score of 279, followed by Kierslyn Thomas (tenth – 277) and Katlyn Hooks (12th – 276).

Trigg County finished first with 3,383, which included 192 tens (target center shots). Graves County was second with 3,325 while Murray was third with 3,313.

Trigg County Middle School scored 3,266 to finish second behind Graves County’s winning score of 3,342 points in the middle school division.

Josh Ingram had the top score in the middle school and was the top male shooter in all divisions with a score of 292. Jeri Beth Oliver was Trigg’s top female shooter with a score of 281 to finish second among middle school girls.

Trigg County Intermediate School finished second to Fancy Farm Elementary (2,708-2,604) in the elementary division.

Connor Long was Trigg County’s top shooter with a score of 252 to finish fifth among elementary school male shooters. Rachel Monroe finished eighth among elementary school girls.
