A scoreless second quarter and a scoreless 4th quarter were too much for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons to overcome Friday night. Fort Campbell went on the road and fell to Clarksville 52-18.
The Lady Falcons made a battle of it through the first quarter. Fort Campbell had one of its best opening quarters of the season and trailed only 16-10 after one. However, the Clarksville defense clamped down on the Lady Falcons in the second quarter, and scored 15 points of their own to stretch the lead out to 31-10 at the half.
Fort Campbell again played the Lady Wildcats fairly even during the 3rd quarter. Clarksville outscored the Lady Falcons 12-8 to extend the lead to 43-18 heading into the final quarter.
While Clarksville could only manage nine points in the final quarter, their defense once again shut the Lady Falcons out for the final 34 point margin.
Brianna Dugger led the Lady Falcons with 10 points. Trinity Mincey added 5, while Jordan Wilson had three. Courtney Janikowski and Mariah Nicholson were the top scorers for Clarksville with 12 points each.
The Lady Falcons fall to 0-21 on the season with the loss.
