After picking a win at St. Mary Monday, Trigg County didn’t find a return trip to Paducah as successful as they dropped a 68-28 contest Tuesday at McCracken County.
The Lady Mustangs jumped out to a 19-9 lead and extended it to 39-16 by halftime.
The Lady Wildcats were bothered by 24 turnovers and shot just 26-percent (11/42) from the field. One night after hitting five 3-pointers in their win over St. Mary, Trigg hit 1-of-10 from long range Tuesday.
Lauren Oliver led Trigg County with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Adri Phillips scored four points and had five rebounds. Logan Darnall chipped in with five points.
McCracken County (16-14) has won 10 of their last 13 games and shot 56-percent from the field. Kenzie Blackford led the Lady Mustangs with 19 points, and Sarah Adams added 11 points.
Trigg County (8-16) will host Fort Campbell Thursday night in their regular season finale at Wildcat Gym.
