Wildcat Plymale to Play for OVL’s Railroaders This Summer

Trigg County senior Ashton Plymale will become the first Wildcat to play in the Ohio Valley Summer Wooden Bat League this summer. Plymale has signed a contract to pitch for the Fulton Railroaders.

The 6-foot-5 left-handed pitcher posted a 4.71 ERA in 10 games last year for the Wildcats. He struck out 37 batters in 35 innings while walking just 16. Plymale also pitched in 10 games as a sophomore, posting a 3.23 ERA with 21 strikeouts in 21 innings.

Plymale will sign his letter to play at Transylvania Friday at the school.

Fulton was 18-22 in the Ohio Valley League and plays in the West Division with the Hoptown Hoppers, Paducah Chiefs, and Madisonville Miners.
