Hopkinsville brought home a second place finish at the Christ the King Archery Tournament Saturday in Madisonville. Hoptown’s score of 3,257 was 102 behind Hopkins County Central. Madisonville finished third.
Nathan Morris shot a 285 to finish third for Hopkinsville, followed by Lucas Ballard whose 278 was good for ninth place. Chandler Neighbors (12th place) and Jeremy Leek (15th) also had top 20 finishes.
Hopkins County Central junior T Sanchez shot a perfect 300 to win the male division.
Mary Poe was the top shooter for the females, with her score of 285 good for fourth place. Katie Little shot a 278 which resulted in a ninth place finish. Lanie Brumfield (11th) and Samantha Cordle (12th) also finished in the top 20.
Heritage Christian Academy sophomore Zoe Bellak shot a 288 to win the female division.
Will Futrell was the top shooter for the middle school with a score of 273.
Hopkinsville will shoot in the NASP Region 2 Tournament Saturday in Henderson.
