Tomas Duncan set a new meet record in winning the 1600-meter run at the West Region High School Invitational Saturday at the CFSB Center in Murray. Duncan’s time of 4:50.17 was a smidge better than the previous best of 4:50.26 set by Marshall County’s James Bowens in 2006.
Duncan also finished second in the 3,000-meters (9:42).
