Arrowcats Win March Madness Title (w/PHOTOS)

Trigg County had the top two shooters and took first place at their Arrowcat March Madness Tournament Friday and Saturday at Wildcat Gym.

Kaylin Smith shot a 292 to finish first among all high school shooters and first among female shooters. It was the fourth time this year that Smith has topped 290.

Audrey Smith shot a 293 to finish second among high school females, while Macy Mitchell (279) was sixth.

Sophomore Cole Joyce shot a 291 to finish first place among high school males, followed by Daniel Martin who shot a 286 to finish second. Christopher Mudd (284) was fourth, and Apolo Blackbear-Francis (283) was sixth.

Trigg County took first place with a score of 3,353. Hopkinsville (3,264) was second, and Murray (3,209) was third.

Eighth grader Josh Ingram had the high score of the tournament, shooting a career-high 295. Karson Bush shot a 277 to finish ninth, and Trevor Hoy was 15th with a score of 272.

For the ladies, Madelin Morrow shot a 277 to finish fourth. Lilly P’Pool shot a 272 to finish 10th. Graves County won the middle school team competition with a score of 3,364. Trigg County was second with a score of 3,240.
