Regular-Season Horizon League Champion Northern Kentucky earned the No. 7 seed and will play No. 2 Louisville in the opening round of the NIT at the KFC Yum Center in Louisville Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
NKU currently sits at 22-9 overall and won the Horizon League with a 15-3 overall record. Louisville is 20-13 overall, finishing tied for eighth place in the ACC with a 9-9 conference mark.
This is the first time Northern Kentucky and Louisville have met on the hardwood.
Per Louisville’s website, tickets for the general public go on sale Monday, March 12 at 1 p.m. In non-premium areas in the lower bowl, tickets are $12 and students are $6.
