Former Hopkinsville High Tiger Quan Poindexter scored 15 points to help Georgetown College beat traditional power Oklahoma City 91-83 and advance to the quarterfinals of the NAIA Division I Tournament.
Poindexter, a senior, hit four 3-pointers and added six rebounds for the Tigers, who improved to a 27-6 with the win. He scored 12 points in Georgetown’s tournament opener Wednesday, a 79-74 win over Central Baptist.
Georgetown will play either Peru State or LSU Alexandria Saturday in the NAIA Tournament quarterfinals.
