Falcons Fall in Five Innings at Carlisle

The Fort Campbell baseball team is still looking for its first win of the young season after losing 18-0 in five innings at Carlisle County (2-1).  The Falcons were outhit 12-3.

Carlisle scored 3 runs in the 1st inning, 4 in the 2nd, 7 in the 3rd, and finished things with 4 more in the bottom of the 5th.  Sophomore catcher Edwin Syester, junior LF Elijah Crockett, and 8th grade 1B/P  Ryan Sawyer each had a hit for the Falcons.  7th grader Dalton Markus took the loss, going two innings and allowing 7 runs on seven hits.

Junior SS Ian Fry led the attack for the Comets, going 3-3 with 5 RBI.  Senior Trevor Elder went three innings for the win, scattering three hits, walking one, and striking out seven.

Fort Campbell will be back in action on Thursday, travelling to Elkton to face the Todd County Central Rebels (0-1).
