The girls’ team from University Heights Academy finished seventh out of 20 teams Saturday at the Invitational of the South Track and Field Meet at Murray State University.
Alli Cundiff won both her hurdle events and captured fourth place in the 100-meter dash to earn the top female performer of the meet award.
Tomas Duncan brought home a first-place finish for the guys in the 1600-meter run. The Blazers finished 15th as a team.
Here are the top 20 finishers for UHA on the day:
GIRLS
Alli Cundiff finished first in the 100-meter hurdles (16.00); first in the 300-meter hurdles (46.840; and fourth in the 100-meter dash (13.21)
Evelyn Morales finished second in the high jump (5-0); 13th in the 200-meter dash (29.38)
Muki Kunnmann finished fifth in the 3200-meter run (19:50.90) and sixth in the 1600-meter run (5:49.25)
Sarah Covington finished sixth in the high jump (4-6)
Lily Hendricks finished 10th in the triple jump (30-05.50); 12th in the 400-meter dash (1:07.74); 13th in the long jump (13-11.75)
Piper Hancock finished 10th in the 800-meter run (2:44.15); and 10th in the 1600-meter run (6:22.06)
Zipporah Brechwald finished 13th in the 800-meter run (2:45.28)
Naliscya Hall was 17th in the shot put (26-11)
Sheldon Covington was 19th in the shot put (26-7)
Molly Bennett was 19th in the 1600-meter run (7:21.88)
The 1600-meter relay team finished fifth (4:25.57)
